The Dependance

The Dependance is a recently converted 3 bedroomed stone building about 5 kilometres outside Dinan and a ten minute walk from the River Rance.

It’s Easy to Get To

Unfortunately it is no longer possible to fly from Stansted to Dinard airport although it is possible to fly to Rennes. However the flights to Rennes are quite expensive and the drive to the Dependance takes about 50 minutes.
If you are taking your own car  you can catch the ferry from Portsmouth, and it is very pleasant  to travel overnight with Brittany Ferries who have an impressive restaurant on board. The drive from St. Malo to La Quinardais takes less than half an hour.

Things to do and See

Walk along the Rance, see the Medieval Town of Dinan, or visit Cancale for a seafood lunch. If you want a day on the beach St. Jacut and St. Lunaire are only a 20 minute drive away.

Fougères

This little village has a magnificent castle, one of the finest fortresses in Europe. On the Brittany-Normandy border it also has a lovely medieval district and a lively Saturday-morning market. Do try the Crêperie Tivabro.

Other sites to worth a visit

Closer to La Quinardais are Fort La Latte and the Lighthouse at Cap Frehel, and the really adventurous can try windsailing along the beach at Sable d'Or.
